My time in the Philippines is coming to and end and as I look back it’s amazing how fast the time has flown by. I feel like it was yesterday that I was leaving Albania and coming to Tacloban. Living in Tacloban has been such a sweet time. I’ve been apart of a ministry called Kids International Ministries. Everyday I am surrounded my kids and their smiling faces. We go on feedings which are trips into remote villages where we bring lugaw (kinda like oatmeal but chicken flavor) and just get to be the hands and feet of Christ by feeding the kids and communities. We work at a preschool that is located at our ministry site. (Trust me those kids are crazy) My three months here have been jam packed with ministry and love. I’m blown away every day by the love the children give to us. They tell me every day “Maggie you’re so beautiful, I love you, I miss you already.” Little do they know they are pouring into me probably more than I could ever image pouring into them. They sit and ask me question constantly and because they don’t quite yet have English perfected it’s questions like “Maggie what’s your mothers name? Or what’s your fathers name?” I could’ve never imagined that the little island in the Philippines that I live on would have brought so much to my life. As I get ready to depart and head to South Africa my heart is heavy with the thought of leaving the Kids I love so dearly but I can’t wait for the next country and next adventure.
