Team Perisseuo
Here is my team, my family for the next eleven months. We will endure so much together and grow closer to the Lord together. My new brothers and sisters in Christ, who within a week I grew to adore. The word Perisseuo (per-y-shoo-o) means to abound or overflow in Greek. We chose this word from Romans 15:13 – "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." We want to remember that in this next year, our love of Christ will overflow to others, but that in order to overflow, we must first be filled. So let me introduce the team to you:
Our fearless leader Kyle. I don't think I can sing enough praise over this man. When I thought about which guys I would want on my team, he was my top pick! His leadership is something amazing, so subtle and humble. Such a man of God and in a quiet way, very conscious of the way he respects women and others.
My dearly loved brother Jake. Our sarcasm is easily bounced off one another and I am extremely comfortable in all I say and do around this man. His experience with the word makes him such an attribute to the team and to our growing in the knowledge of the Lord.
The southern belle, Kaitlyn. This girl, what to say? Her gentle spirit is refreshing to the soul and the words that she speaks are always full of the Spirit. And of course, we can listen to country music together!
The photographer, Bri. We have been blessed with such a woman who can look on a scene and create art! She captures stories in her work and we get to be her models for a year! God has breathed talent beyond belief in this woman.
The gentle Brittany. After knowing her three days, this amazing woman let me borrow her razor and offered me clothes! What a heart! Another quiet spirit with so much love and compassion to pour out onto our team.
My twin, Katie. As someone has called her before, "a gem". She truly is just that, reflecting her knicks and pain so that we can see the beauty they have made. God has formed this woman into such an encouragement and leader!
So that's my team, six amazing people and myself. I couldn't have asked for a better combination, and I know the Lord has already set forth a path for us to spread His truth among the nations. I delight in the idea that you will join us in this journey.
