This month we are in Thailand where a lot of World Race teams work mainly with prostitutes and human trafficking.  It’s a month that the women and the men both look forward to for the whole race.  The men often times get a month of what we like to call “Manistry”, and our men are blessed with the opportunity to do just that.  All the men of our squad are together on a team this month in Chiang Mai working at an orphanage.  Therefore, the rest of the squad (all the ladies) was split into teams for just the month.  This is my first all women team and I was pretty nervous at first, but now that I’m here with these women, I’m extremely excited to introduce them to you!!

Kaylynn Love – Kaylynn is our Team Leader.  We spent a month living together in Moldova (month 2).  She is from Michigan, studying to be a teacher, 24 years of age and so in love with women.  She is a woman who has power and discernment and someone I have loved intensely since getting to be friends month 2.

Brianna Danese – My love!  Bri was on my first team and we have become sisters on this journey.  Whenever we get the opportunity we get together and we have become confidants for one another.  She is a professional photographer, Japanese speaker and Team Leader for the last 4 months.  I’m obsessed with her sense of humor and wisdom.

Caroline Player – This little lady is full of energy and joy.  She loves to serve those around her and take care of people.  She is from Virginia, the second oldest on the team at the age of 25, and passionate about veggies!!  Caroline shows us what it means to truly love those around us and to set them above ourselves.

Jenna Malinen – I had the opportunity to spend a month with this lady in Tanzania.  She is a woman of justice and she speaks boldly.  The baby of the team at 22, she is far from a baby, she is a woman who stands firm in who she is.  From Michigan, recently graduated and passionate about learning about those around her.

Kacie Lynn Lester
– This is a woman I formed an immediate bond with Month 2 (Moldova) as she sang me parodies and laughed with me when all we wanted to do was cry.  She called me into a place of deeper vulnerability with my team that month and has a power to open up her heart courageously for all to take part in. From our capitol, D.C, 23 years old and the woman who taught me to play guitar.

TEAM NAKED

A group of six women desiring to be completely naked with one another.  We want to take off all the layers that we use to hide our insecurities and come just as we are.

“Adam replied, ‘ I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid.  I was afraid because I was NAKED.’”

-Genesis 3:10

When Adam and Eve sinned against the Lord, they were ashamed of who they were and tried to hide themselves.  They were not comfortable being vulnerable with God, but God had already seen it all, He created it, He knows our weaknesses, He created them, and He understands them.  So by being Naked with Him we are being unafraid, we are being unashamed; we are opening up who we are to Him and to one another.  Think of the intimacy of being Naked with someone, it can be really embarrassing letting people see the precious parts of you, but it can also be exciting to share the secrets of who you are.  Team Naked is using this month to share our secrets, show off what’s precious to us, and to lay everything out for each other to see, trusting that we will each walk away more confident and beautiful.
