We’ve successfully made it to Guatemala!!!! It’s beautiful and warm and friendly. My co-squad leaders and I are currently staying in Antigua with two all women teams (I LOVE all women teams!)
The other night someone gave a short devotional about stepping into 2014. She was talking about how we needed to learn from 2013 and it reminded me how thankful I am for this past year.
I learned so much about loving and being loved. I was continuously amazed by the people I worked with and by my youth kids, they loved me. A ridiculous amount of love and not because of who I am but simply because they loved Christ within me.
Now I get to do the same for 48 young adults. I get to love the Jesus that is inside of each of them. So far it’s been a lot of fun! My job every day is to hang out with them and encourage them to be more like Christ. I know it won’t always be easy, but I know the Lord has so much growth in this time for both me and them.
Thank you to everyone who has loved me and fought for me over the years.
Please continue to pray for me and my leadership team. Also pray for us as we try to discern how to pour into these women and the rest of the squad.
