Well hello there, your reading my first ever blog post. I have finally figured what I should write about for this. Ever since I was old enough to write anything longer than five sentences it has been a huge struggle for me to come up with anything to write. . . ANYTHING. If it’s for a school essay, writing for fun, or to even write a blog post. Hence where I am right now. It’s like I have a permanent writers block whenever I think of something to write. But I will say it is somewhat easier when I write. . . or type, whats on my mind, then talk to someone face to face. But the main topic for this post is fundraising, so let the writing begin!!! (I totally tried to quote Caesar from Hunger Games and failed miserably. XD)
Ok, so you might think, “Oh fundraising shouldn’t be thaaat hard. . . right?” Wrong!!! UNLESS you have faith, I wouldn’t have gotten through anything without my faith. Faith is most likely going to be my most used word in the upcoming 12 months. And these upcoming 12 months will probably be testing my faith. Why do you ask? Because I have committed myself in joining a Gap Year through World Race, which is a Christian missionary opportunity to be in 3 countries (Thailand, India, and Guatemala), 3 months for each country. That’s a total of a whopping 9 months. And in order for me to go on this amazing journey I have to raise a total of $16,600. My first deadline is in the beginning of July which is $5,000. That’s why my focus is faith. For a looong time I have doubted myself in what I can do and never realized that I should put my faith into God and know that He can ease my mind and let me know that ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ – Philippians 4:13. It’s never easy letting all your worries about what come next fall through your mind and let God ‘Take the wheel’ (Thank you TobyMac!!) So have one thing to ask you to do. Pray. Will you pray for me? I know that I can get ANYTHING done if you and I pray. Thank you so much!!
