(This the first 3ish weeks in India December 7-27)

Let me set the scene of an average start of my day. I get woken up at an ungodly hour of 6 am in the morning by Molly and Alyson as they head out the door for their own morning routines. Now I don’t go because I don’t want to get out of my warm bed to face the cold. (Our room, nonetheless, our building that we stay in has no source of heat). But because I don’t go I go back to sleep and don’t get up till 7 to head to tea time for my Jesus time. Tea time/Jesus time (devo’s) lasts until 8 when breakfast is ready. Breakfast can look like oatmeal, French toast, butter toast (pan fried toast with butter), Puri and chickpea curry. After, we head back so we can get ready for ministry and then we head out. Ministry differs day to day here in Sielmat. Our most recent ministry was a vbs type children’s ministry with kids aging from 5 to 12. We had been told to have groups of kids to about the total of each of our WR teams and to help them learn English and to just play with them too. My team had played interactive songs with motions, the alphabet and some other games to gain the kids attention. After we played with the kids all of them were called to stop and have tea. Now tea time is basically their lunch. So they have tea and crackers. This time for us adults we were given something I haven’t seen since Malaysia in Little India. A samosa. Not a samoa. A samOSA. It’s triangle savory pastry with either chicken or potatoes/vegetable. The kind we were given were vegetable. Once all of us racers were done with tea we said our goodbyes and headed back to our home and proceeded to lunch which could look like ramen, stir fried spaghetti looking stuff, grilled cheese, chicken soup or vegetable soup. Then we would have the rest of the day off unless something is scheduled for the night. But normally it’s all chill till dinner. Now I would describe what dinner could look like but for some reason I can’t describe the type of meals besides what ingredients we eat. Now I can at least describe that. We normally eat potatoes, chicken, and vegetables. Alot of veggies. So good. Dinner would end for us around 6ish, then team time would proceed which is led by my amazing, raised up team leader, Molly. That would end around 7 and then it’s free game after that. Within the time that team time would end and then it would be off to bed!!

And then another day would begin!!
