I am sitting here in San Jose, Costa Rica where the temperature is constantly at 73 degrees. I am always wearing comfy sweatshirts with shorts and no shoes! I love this place!! Me and my squad were placed in the house we are in for a reason y’all. Each one of us were specifically picked for each other and it’s beautiful. The staff members are precious, Alfredo is everyones favorite. He was born in Nicaragua and his son is married to one of our translators who helps us get around everywhere! We really are all one big family! We have a giant backyard with hanging swings, hammocks, and we get to enjoy a constant breeze with a breath taking view! I get to throw the football with the guys every other day which brings me so much joy. I washed my clothes in a sink for the first time yesterday and it was really time consuming but kind of peaceful. We have all our clothes on rope that hangs from one side of the backyard to the other. The boys like to say it looks like we are running a laundromat, which is very true. We have to wake up super early each morning because Costa Ricans go to bed early. The sun goes down at 6pm and comes up at 5am which is defiantly an adjustment. I have already been sunburnt which I am okay with because that means I will get tan. I am living my best life, Woohooooo
pura vida!!
On a real note though we experienced our first worship night as a team the other night and it changed my life! We were in the middle of a tiny living room with 30 people, one guitar, and all of our voices becoming one! At first I was scared to let go and truly sing but when I did, y’all I felt the presence of the holy spirt come on me so strong. I was screaming, jumping, and clapping right in the middle of all my friends which is a step out of my comfort zone for sure. It made me feel so free, he showed me that letting people see how strong his love is will spark curiosity, happiness, and a want for more of the same thing! So stepping out of your comfort zone might be scary but, its helping your relationship with the lord become strong. It helps you hear his voice more clear while showing others his power! How special is that!! This is just a glimpse of what the Lord has been showing me. I am learning so many beautiful things that are forming me into the woman of God I am meant to be!
My next blog will be all about my ministries we are getting involved with, so make sure to subscribe to this blog channel! Thank you for the support and love you guys are sending! I am so close to being fully funded so continue to pray and donate. Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying because it is helping your relationship with Him while helping me to be able to continue to share his love and be his hands and feet!
