Hey, everyone! It’s been a crazy few weeks here in Gainesville, Georgia but things have finally started to settle down and I want to tell you all about my team.
My squad is made up of 32 people and every one of them is fantastic. I get to be part of an amazing community of people who are all chasing after God with their whole heart and it’s amazing, unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of.
But my team is just six women and they are the people I will be walking with most closely this coming year. We’ll minister together, pray together, clean together, cook together, cry together, laugh together, and grow together. And let me tell you, God definitely had a huge hand in making this team. We’ve been a family since our first day in Georgia.
One definition of the word “align” is to come together in agreement or alliance. We chose this name for the team based on our common desire to align our hearts and wills with the Father’s – to love what He loves, to hate what He hates, to want what He wants, and to do what He would do.
Our team leader, Ellie, is super creative and an incredibly talented photographer. She took our portraits within the first week of being here and made these super cool edits to help y’all get to know us.
Delaney has the most gentle spirit. She puts others first and makes them feel seen, known, and loved.
Emma loves community. She can turn any group of people into a family and has done just that with our team and our whole squad.
Jen is extremely intentional in everything she does. Her eyes are fixed on Jesus and becoming more and more like Him.
Kaylin is the most inclusive person I’ve ever met. Everyone has a seat at her table and her table is always filled with laughter.
Layna isn’t satisfied with surface level, she explores the depths of life. She feels deeply and longs to know people deeply, to know their heart as the Father does.
Ellie is our fearless, alumni leader. A woman of honor and a woman of God. She went on the World Race last year and God called her to lead a team this year. She’s an observer and loves to explore the meaning in every detail of life.
This is me. And I still can’t believe I’m blessed enough to call these women my family.
