Hi Friends!!
I am so blessed that you all are going on this journey with me, but I wanted to introduce myself a little bit more!
For some of you that know me really well, you know that I’ve always had a free spirit and have loved to experience literally everything that I can from this life, and try to get the most out of every situation. However, I am also a very structured person and find extreme comfort in knowing what is going to happen next.
With that being said, God really threw a wrench in my plans with putting this race on my heart. Never in my life did I expect that I would be doing something like this!
I just graduated from the greatest university in the world, Texas Tech University, with my Bachelors in Public Relations with an emphasis in media law (Wreck ‘Em). This is something that I have been passionate about my entire life, and my plan was to enter law school right off the bat.
BUT…God did something incredible and about three weeks before my graduation this summer, he told me to TRUST HIM and take a left turn and a leap of faith. So, here we are! I could not be more excited about getting to love on so many other communities and people around the world. I expect to grow so much personally and spiritually along this journey, and am so thankful that you all get to experience this with me!
Fun Facts
– My name is Madison Paige Smith, but my closest friends call me Madds (that’s you now).
– My favorite colors are Scarlet and Black, and that may be a bi-product of Texas Tech. Lol.
– I have started the World Race application 4 times, but never really felt like it was my time until NOW.
– I absolutely despise anything chocolate, and can’t stand the sight of milk.
– I am a music fiend and listen to just about every type of music, but I am on a huge Doo Wop kick right now.
– I full-heartedly believe in second chances for EVERYONE.
– I have two AWESOME big brothers, Ryan and Cameron, who would do just about anything for me!
– My mom is my best friend.
– I have two pups, Raider and Molly, and they are the cutest little things that you ever did see!
– Most importantly, I am in love with The Lord, and am so grateful for His guidance on a daily basis, and especially for leading me to this opportunity!
