To those of you who have no idea what the world race is, here’s an explanation of the race and my story:
The World Race is a nine month mission trip to the countries of Thailand, India, and Guatemala. I’ll be living out of a giant backpack like modern day disciples, spreading the hope of Jesus throughout these countries.
Around two years ago, random thoughts appeared about doing missions and I immediately pushed them away because missions didn’t follow my plan for my life. The thoughts refused to leave my mind no matter how hard I tried to remove them. Eventually, I began to pray for clarity and I heard the audible voice of God. I surrendered to this terrifying call that He placed on my heart and instantly felt an overwhelming peace takeover and ease my mind.
Fast forward to this summer where Fuge introduced me to the World Race and the program seemed like a dream. Once again, I prayed that God would show me someone who had completed the race, and He provided. A few weeks later of only dreaming to be on the race, God perfectly placed a World Race alumni in my cru small group. I am 100% confident that this is where God wants me next year. I am excited to not only learn about myself, but grow deeper in my relationship with God, becoming more dependent on Him as I step out in faith into the unknown.
I really need your help with fundraising $16,600. It feels like reaching this goal is impossible, but when the Lord calls, He provides. This money covers everything I’ll need for the race: travel expenses, living expenses, food, insurance, training, and a conference after the race. I cannot do this alone. I’ll be doing many fundraisers over the course of the year, but please please pray for me because united prayer is powerful.
