I’ve found family in Chiang Dao. My team and I are currently living away from our squad with a family. We have our own “house” (a building with four walls), and Yai Lee (grandma) and Auntie Leah live out back in two spare rooms. Our host, B, lives next door with Mae and Phor (Mom and Dad). On the other side of us, more aunties and uncles live, as well as an additional grandma. Our church is directly across the street from us, and B leads worship there every Sunday. It’s a street of family, and we’ve been adopted in.

These people cook us 3 meals a day, run a farm, care for family, clean, do laundry, take us to work everyday, hired the chief of police (!!!) to keep us safe in an already safe community, hang in hammocks with us (mainly Yai Lee), and worship with us outside at the dinner table every single night.

In the 4 days I’ve lived here, I’ve gotten to remember what it’s like to be with my family. To have a Mom close by, a Dad encouraging me, a sister laughing at me, and a grandma holding my hand. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a greater gift than that these 2 months in Thailand.

So yeah. I’m living with the Thai Brady Bunch, and it’s the sweetest sitcom I’ve ever had lines in. I can’t wait to tell you guys more about it, and to share the stories that are changing the shape of my heart.

ps: we have 2 kittens here. their names are riah and manning. swazi ppl, u kno why!!!

pps: I’m still fundraising, and currently need another $6,000 by February 1st. Prayerfully consider giving today? It would mean a whole lot to get to keep doing the ministry that Abba has called me to do!:)
