Here it is. My life packed in two bags. 9 months of gear packed into a 65 L and a 26 L backpack. At first it seemed impossible. I finally admitted I have come to realize I am attached to things. But things are just things. So I’m doing my best to part from a lot of items of comfort.

The most common question people ask when hearing about the World Race is “how the heck are you going to pack nine months into a bag?! are you done packing yet? what are you taking?” It’s back to back firing of questions that seem to make no sense to people, so I’m here to answer what I’m taking, how I’m making it fit, and tell you that no I’m not done, but I am almost done packing.

This photo shows just about everything I’m taking in my large pack. It includes my tent/rainfly/footprint/poles, sleeping pad, sleeping bag/liner, hammock/straps/net, shoes, bowl/spork/knife, rain cover for each pack, towel, bungee cords, headlamp, clothes, and a couple packs of baby wipes.
