Note: No photos from Peru will be in here, only my second month of Ecuador!

The first week of our second month was spent at a home for girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. We spent a week building a wall of cinderblocks to protect them. All 30-something girls slept in this room while our guys slept upstairs. About 5-10 of us on any given day were super sick – it was a bummer, but God really used the healthy people to make huge progress on the wall.

Lunch! Our daily lunch in Ecuador was usually a sandwich. Typically bread and cheese and jam, or maybe dulce de leche. We had chips and a fruit with every lunch.

Equator!

We are typically packed like sardines on our way to ministry! 45 min on the bus, sweaty sweaty.

Playing games!

We got free facials! Heck yeah! Next door was a home for young moms. They had cosmetology students coming to practice and offered us facials.

One of my biggest fears on the race was lice. There was a squad outbreak. I got lice. Thank God it was a suuuper minor case and completely gone by the next day.

Our friend at the senior home! And the first day of progress of our mural. Teresa doesn’t speak, but she blesses us with hugs and back rubs and endless smiles.
