I have a shower story. It’s actually kind of hilarious.

I had just gotten home from ministry. I was tired. I was sweaty (Swaziland is hottt). All I was looking forward to was a nice cold shower (heated water isn’t a thing here). I was finally going to be clean. It was my first shower in a couple days (don’t cringe at that, we’ve got people here who haven’t showered in a week).

To say I was looking forward to it was an understatement.

I get in the shower and the water was even cooler and more amazing and refreshing than I thought it was going to be. I was sooo happy. Once I was soaked enough I turned off the water to start soapin’ up and all (how we save water). Once I was nice and soapy I went to turn the nob. I turned it… And kept turning it until the nob wouldn’t turn anymore, except nothing but an inconsistent drip trickled out. I stood there stranded for a good 10 minutes counting the seconds between each drip of water, hoping that maybe the water would come back on. Needless to say it never did. Gotta love wiping your soapy body off with the one towel you have. Showers in Swaziland are something else.
