Hi friends!
Welcome to Month 8! Crazy right?!
This month, we’re in Johannesburg, South Africa, and we’re working with a ministry called Impact Africa.

We’ve been here for two weeks now and we’ve been doing Community Outreach in the squatter camps. Squatter camps are government owned land for people living in extreme poverty. The one that we’ve been doing ministry at has thousands of tiny shacks, within a one mile radius, with 350,000 people in it.

Four days a week, we go into this squatter camp & walk shack to shack, speaking truth & delivering hope. We chat and make friends. We listen to people’s stories. We encourage. We evangelize. We lay hands on the sick and witness miraculous healings. We talk to Sangoma’s (witch doctors) and share the Gospel with them. We cast out demons. We witness people being set free from bondage. We get to experience so many salvations daily. & we celebrate and rejoice in how big, great, and powerful our God is!

Im not going to lie, when I first heard what our ministry was going to be this month, I felt nervous, uncomfortable, and pretty fearful, but also super excited. That’s a lot of feels to feel all at one time.

I was nervous because this is completely out of my comfort zone and I didn’t know how to navigate it. I knew the Lord wanted to use me and I trusted that He was going to move and work in mighty ways, but I didn’t fully believe that I was adequate enough to do this kind of ministry.

But the Lord is teaching me, that feeling inadequate is a big, fat lie from the enemy. The Lord doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. We just have to step out in faith, have a yes in our heart, open our mouths and trust & know that the Holy Spirit is going to do the rest. And I can testify to that with so many stories from this month already!

I can’t wait to share with you all how the Lord has been working and moving! Stay tuned for some incredible stories about what the Lord has been doing!!

Recklessly,
Madison
