This month, I’m on an ALL GIRLS TEAM and I’m LOVING every minute of it! I want to introduce to you the girls of Team Alabaster!!!
First, a little backstory on how we came up with our team name. The Lord spoke to one of my teammates, Alexis, through Luke 7:37-38. This story is about the woman, who was a sinner, that brought an alabaster flask of perfume to the feet of Jesus. She poured the expensive perfume on his feet and as she weeped, she wiped his feet with her hair. Alabaster is a translucent stone that holds valuable perfume inside. This was to signify that we were going to be vulnerable with each other from the beginning. Also, she was known as the sinful woman, who was forgiven, and that’s every single one of us. Broken and sinful in nature. In need of forgivenes.
To introduce each other, we wrote down on a piece of paper a bunch of things to describe each person, and we didn’t read what the team wrote about each of us, until we were filming the video.
