Well, hey!
My name is Madison, but people call me Maddie, Mat, Maddawg, or just Mad (I love nicknames). Im 22, and my current home is in Tyrone, Georgia. I’m working as a nanny and babysitting on the side right now until I leave in August. I have been blessed with a great family! Here are my wonderful parents:
Here is my amazing big sister, Sydney:
I went to college at West Georgia Technical College. After graduating in May with a degree in Radiology, I took/passed my boards test and became a certified Radiologic Technologist (X-ray tech as most of you probably know it). I left the day after graduation to return to Haiti for the fifth time and spent the next month doing mission work. I left my heart in Haiti the very first time I visited, which was three years ago, on my first ever mission trip. Here are a few pictures from my most recent trip:
I felt called to the mission field before I ever went on my first mission trip. During my month long trip to Haiti, I sensed the Lord asking me to trust Him with a longer period of time. Not knowing how or what that looked like, I began praying and seeking God in what He would have me to do next in my life. The Lord has done a LOT in me in the last several months, including showing me specific spiritual gifts and desires that He has placed in me and how He wants me to use those to further His Kingdom. So how did I get to the World Race?
Here’s what I know: I want to see the world. I feel called to mission work. I have a passion for working with the less fortunate and loving the broken-hearted. My heart yearns to be a part of big things, to see God move in big ways. So, what more perfect way is there to combine all of these things than by serving a multitude of God’s children while I travel the world??
I am beyond excited for all of the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead. I am also nervous to be stretched completely out of my comfort zone in so many ways, but knowing that God goes before me leaves me rested and assured that though there may be hard times ahead, there can also be nothing but good ahead!
Thank you, thank you, for being a part of my journey.
