Hi everyone!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog and for following along on my journey! There’s some info I want to share, along with some incredible things that have been happening, and I want to tell y’all about them!!
Fundraising Updates
I am not surprised by God’s faithfulness, but I am absolutely blown away and left speechless/in tears by His goodness. Y’all have helped me raise $15,416!!! Which leaves me with only $2,601 left to raise before I am FULLY FUNDED!!! Woah. GOD IS SO GOOD. I want to keep you all updated on how I’m raising this money, so let me fill you in on the fundraisers I have had the opportunity to do:
- Boot Camp: Last week, a lovely lady that I know allowed me to run 2 of her boot camp classes as a fundraiser, and all of the incredible ladies that showed up donated $1,170!!! AMAZING.
- T-Shirts: I have been selling t-shirts for over a month now and I am placing the order today, but if you still want one please let me know and I can order a few extra ones!! By the grace of God, I raised almost $300 selling t-shirts!!! Woohoo!
- Generosity: People are amazing. I have been praying that God would touch the hearts of people around me to donate towards my World Race journey. I went through a season, very recently, where not much money was donated. My green money bar on my blog page wasn’t moving very much. $18,017 felt absolutely impossible. I felt like I would never reach my goal of being fully funded. And then I began to pray peace over my worrying, stressed heart knowing the God that I serve is a BIG God, and I began to stop doubting God and started to declare that this is where God is calling me, and He will not leave me or forsake me (or my funds). HOLY COW. God is moving!!! I have had so many people donating. Some I have never met before and some I barely know. I am so thankful for ANY amount that is donated, because it is all extremely helpful, but I have had MANY very large amounts donated in the last week and all I can say is THANK YOU GOD. If He has called you somewhere, HE WILL provide. Financially. Spiritually. Emotionally. Physically. He will provide your very needs, down to the seemingly tiny stuff. He is faithful to His promises and He is a Good, Good Father.
Info Update
I have 3 weeks left!!! Where does the time go?!?!
August 3rd I will be heading to Atlanta for 2 days of training, where my parents will join me on the 4th. They will be able to meet the parents of my squad mates and get any questions they have answered. On August 5th, I will have lunch with my parents before saying good-bye and leaving for Serbia after lunch time!!!
Prayer Requests
I am extremely excited, but also starting to get nervous and sad about leaving and saying good-byes/see ya laters. If you could all pray for me and my heart as I enter into this transition of the next season of life. Also, pray for my 41 squad mates as they will be going through the same transitions and emotions. Pray for our parents, as this won’t be an easy time for them, releasing their child to God for the next year of our life. Pray for safety as we head to launch and then leave for Serbia on August 5th!
