So I’ve been trying to think of more fundraiser ideas to tackle this last 6 grand I need to raise for my journey on the World Race.
Yeah thats right, only $6,000 more to go!
One of the beautiful ladies from my church, Mrs. Machak, is blessing me by helping me design a new T-shirt to sell at a booth event. I wanted to have a word on the shirt. A simple word that would describe what this mission trip means to me. After some days of asking around for opinions, praying, keeping an eye out while reading scripture, and an open ear while jamming out to WBGL in the car I felt like I couldn’t find anything. But one word that was tugging at my heart was REVIVAL. I kept trying to pass it up, I thought it didn’t make sense, but I couldn’t get it out of my head and my interest in that word grew the more I prayed about it . I realized this word has always stuck with me even before I was accepted into this mission trip. I’ve had many dreams of nations being brought back to life as fast as wild fire.
Revival is such a beautiful word. To revive is to bring back to life. We can even say to revive is to save someone. Let’s consider someone in the ambulance whose heart isn’t beating. No life; flat lined. But the paramedic can revive them. By using an AED, the paramedic can send a shock through the body of the one without a heart beat. A pulse jumps the heart and brings life back into that person. Their once cold, still heart is now strong and beating! They’re revived! Praise the Lord!
I have strong faith that that is what God is doing. He is reviving His people, His cities, His nations. And our nations need revival. Our hearts are cold and lifeless. And God is sending out His people to bring us back to life. He is sending us out into the world, and we are the AEDs, God is the paramedic, and He’s going to use us to revive His people. He’s going to send a shock right through their bodies that will send a pulse back into their hearts. Have faith; God’s revival will spread like wildfire.
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” Psalm 85:6
