AHHH thank you so much for coming to read my blog!
I am absolutely loving Guatemala, and learning so much already.
One of the main things God is already teaching me is that I can never put Him in a box. In the first week I learned this by just seeing all of His goodness, and how He exceeded every one of my expectations. I had all these ideas about what my leaders, community, and ministry would look like and let me tell you He did so much more!
I’m also learning that I can’t put God’s love in a box. When we started ministry I started to get really worried because I can’t speak Spanish, whoops! But, God showed me so quickly that His love isn’t bound to just words. I have already been able to love on people in so many ways without even talking. For example, I’ve gotten to sit and do crafts and dance with old folks in town, I’ve gotten to worship for two hours even though I didn’t understand a singe word, I’ve gotten to smile at so many people, I’ve gotten to dance with kids and give them high fives, I’ve gotten to sand and paint a playground, etc. The Lord is moving and it is so evident. I think it was just as evident at home, I just wasn’t looking. God is so good and we are His ambassadors. You are NOT too young, too late, too unqulaified- go love on somebody today. Go love on EVERYBODY today. God loves you whether you want Him to or not. Freely given, freely give.
Can’t wait to see what God does in these next months of the race and for the rest of my race I get to call life. I’m expectant. I’m hopeful. Can’t wait to see how Jesus exceeds!
to brokenness and back,
