Let me introduce to my teamates/roommates. The girls I get to spend almost every minute of every day with, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.Gonna try to some up these precious angels in just a few words!
May: I don’t know if I have ever seen anyone love as well as this girl. She cares about others so much. She will sit with you and laugh, cry, literally whatever you need. She feels so deeply. She’s a woman to be reckoned with. The world is gonna be so moved by the love she gives. A powerhouse, a force, a world changer . She makes me laugh . And most importantly she eats tons of food with me. I have learned so much for her already. Her obedience to the Lord in saying yes to whatever He asks even if it may make her uncomfortable in incredible and so inspiring. The girl who will push me in the pool fully dressed, but jumped in after me also fully dressed. The girl who will spend hours picking lice out of my hair.
Ana: butterfly. When I first met her I thought she was this delicate, shy little flower. But let me tell you she is something special. Something about her timing. She’s always there asking the right questions right when I need it. Sweetheart. A feeler. She’s passionate. She’s my partner on Wednesdays when we teach English together. She’s the “fashionista” of our group. A great comforter. She rubs my back and play with my hair all the time and I love it!!
Charlie: Charlie is someone who I was instantly drawn to on our team, but was a bit of a mystery for me. I think we are so different in a lot of ways, but she’s perfect for me and we are gonna be friends for the rest of our lives. She’s a deep thinker, she truly wants to hear what you are saying, she wants to understand it. Charlie is always there to talk to me. She’s also the editor of our team, and checks all of my blogs. Charlie is kind of like a comfort for me. Her presence is undeniable and she brings a feeling of peace wherever she walks. She is proudly and boldly herself and doesn’t need the approval of others. Charlie Nicole Breda is gonna do big things in this world.
Paige: “everybody’s bestie” you know the kind of people that everyone just loves? Well this is Paige – she is kind to every person she meets. She finds the good in every person she meets. She is humble. Paige is also always down to do literally anything; she died her whole head pink the other day. One of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this girl complain. Super good at soccer. Rockstar!
Evelyn: I have learned so much from this girl!! She is so wise and always has wisdom to pour out over our team. She is such a caretaker, and is always the one to make sure no one is left behind. She is such a comforter and always wants to make sure everyone feels loved and cherished. She came to Guatemala a little later than the rest of us and just jumped right in. She completely amazed us all by the way she just started ministry with us all without having all the training and background info we had.
Skylar- mom. A giver. Always there to give advice or anything to help you out. So strong and listens . She gives some of the best advice and when she speaks people listen. The “cosmetologist” of the group- she seriously does everybodys hair, makeup, eyebrows, etc. a woman of many talents. A leader in her own way. I have seen her put herself in a vulnerable place just so she could love people well. She is patient.
Brittany:our fearless team leader. She has so much joy in her heart, and you can see and feel it the moment you meet her. Oh what a joy it is to watch and learn from her. She loves every person she meets with her whole heart. One of the most intentional people I’ve ever met. She listens so well. I’ve gotten to watch and learn from her in the past month and a half and I can without a doubt say that I want to be like Brittany Stanbridge when I grow up. She exemplifies what it means to fearlessly love someone knowing they could reject her. She is silly, playful, smart, beautiful.
Goodness gracious I don’t know what my heart is gonna do when I have to leave these girls at the end of the nine months. I thank Jesus everyday for these people that fit perfectly into the molds of my heart. They are world changers, and every.single.one of them has impacted my life so much already. Couldn’t ask for a better team, better friends, better sisters! Truly love these girls with all my heart.
