hello world!
I’m so close to the end of my travel day(s)! So so close to Eswatini (Swaziland)!!!
On Wednesday all 45 of my squad-mates and I left Atlanta, GA for Boston, MA! While waiting out our 14 hour layover we were able to explore the city! Boston was a dream! So many smiles and memories made there.That city is something special!
After that we hopped on a 14hr flight to Doha,Qatar. We had an 8 hour layover there. Now, I’m currently on a 9 hour flight headed to Johannesburg, South Africa! From Johannesburg our ministry hosts will pick us up from the airport and we’ll have a 4 hour bus ride to Eswatini! Wooohooo for never ending travel days that bring so much perspective!!!
My World Race is just beginning. My heart is so full. My bag is way overpacked. My body has no clue what day it is (lol) and i’m running on 3 hours of sleep! I’m walking through a lot of different emotions and learning to choose to see Jesus in every situation-even when I don’t necessarily feel Him walking through it with me. Choosing the have a “yes” in my spirit, despite all of the uncertainty! Because He is the one thing that will always be constant. The next 9 months will be one of the most ginormous blessings in my life. Thank you so much for supporting me and allowing me to get to do this! I cannot believe this is my life.
Once I’m in Swaziland wifi will probably be extremely limited. Which means my communication with you sweet people back home will be lacking! I’ll be updating y’all as often as I can:) But, if i’m being honest…I’m so looking forward to the simplicity of rural Africa! Getting to soak that in without the distraction of technology is going to be so special.
