Let me say, Ecuador was not one of the original countries I was supposed to be ministering in. Yet, The Lord has such a unique plan for each and everyone one of us. And if The Lord tells me to go to Ecuador? I have to say YES! YES to Jesus. YES to new opportunities. YES to experiencing God moments.

I like to call them God moments because these are specific things in my life that are put together so perfectly. They remind me how GOOD God is, moments that are too out of the ordinary to be coincidences. For other words, simply a miracle.

My papa inspired me to spread the gospel. My papa has aways shown me the love and kindness that Jesus has. And I cannot wait to share the love that I have been given to the ones who need it the most. During the many years my papa was a pastor, he encouraged and helped fundraise for a family from our home church to be sent out to Ecuador and be missionaries, the Solari family. The Solari‘s ministered in Ecuador and shared the gospel to a street boy, named Boris. Boris ended up coming to Christ, and starting Dunamis. Dunamis is the ministry I am currently partnering with. Who would’ve known that I would’ve had this crazy connection, a true God moment. Boris actually spoke at Tabernacle a few years ago to tell my home church about his ministry. When God called my papa to encourage the Solari family to come to Ecuador, my papa said YES to God. The Solari family said YES to God, despite the uncertainties of leaving their comfort. Boris said YES to God, despite his rough childhood living as a street boy. Boris’s family said YES to God, YES to this tragic, yet redeeming ministry. Do you see how God can move from you being obedient to Him and simply saying YES?

I have absolutely fallen in love with everyone here. The workers who help maintain the property, Boris and his beautiful wife and children, the survivors of abuse, the psychologists who work with the girls, the staff, everyone here. I can feel The Lord’s goodness here, Jesus is on the move. Jesus is moving within victims of abuse, and He has His hands so perfectly placed on them. Jesus is here within every smile, moment of laughter, tear, Jesus is PRESENT.

This past week I’ve been in the book of John (John likes to call himself the disciple Jesus loved most which is funny to me because it reminds me how HUMAN the disciples were). Anyways, in John 6, it’s the famous story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. A young boy who brought a lunch to hear Jesus preach, spoke up. He offered his 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Because the little boy said YES when asked if anyone had food, Jesus turned the small lunch and multiplied it, multiplied it SO MUCH they had 12 baskets with leftovers. Wow. Do you see what happens when YOU say YES to Jesus? Miracles. Jesus works through us.

John 14:12 says, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son Can bring glory to the Father.”

So what is God asking you to say YES to? Maybe a new risky career path that you need to trust in God for? Perhaps you’re being called to move somewhere new? Forgiving someone who has hurt you in your past? Saying YES to fixing a past relationship? Maybe saying YES to moving on from a former lost dream, only for God to open up new doors, and bring up new dreams in your calling for life?

Say YES! That is all God is asking.
