this month has looked different than what i expected it to. one of our main ministries was helping our hosts finish up construction & remodeling on their base. as a new team is about to move in & live in the unfinished rooms, we spent our days moving furniture, redoing & repainting old furniture, hanging shelves, putting together scaffolding to paint the exterior walls, putting in bathroom & light fixtures & many other random tasks to help the unfinished rooms become homes. throughout this process a big part of my month has been learning more about the humans i get to do life with. as we helped with these sometimes mindless tasks, conversations, music & podcasts were how we spent our time. i was able to really meet & get to know the humans of team vessel & deep waters. so, i want to pass along 12 things that i have learned about team vessel & then allow you all to meet them through my costa rica video.
– hannah trusts us enough to jump off the top bunk into our arms & “crowd surf” around our bunk room.
– mac is full of god’s wisdom & is digging deeper into what it means to live it out daily.
– kristi loves her morning iced coffee from bohio coffee roasters.
– megan shares a love for 6am morning swims that sometimes turn into being thrown around like you’re in a washing machine.
– bailey has a pure joy about her that livens up the room the minute she walks in.
– kelsey has a heart for worship & leads others to it naturally.
– hannah’s happy place is at the top of a two-story tall scaffolding tower with a paint roller in her hand & getting to discuss how God is working in everyone’s lives.
– mac has a knack for asking the most random, yet inquisitive questions.
– kristi may seem quiet, but she has a strong presence & voice that allows her to lead the team to success.
– megan is very easy to talk to & welcomes real, honest conversation.
– bailey is always ready to pump the team up. give us a task to complete & bailey will bring the energy needed to have fun while we work.
– kelsey recognizes when people need more love & is great at being there for you when you need someone.
overall, team vessel is a random bunch gals that complement each other very well, are able to dive into uncomfortable conversations with ease, know how to throw the most odd but fun dance parties & help point each other to Christ each & every day. i’m thankful for these people & hope you all can learn to love them too. be sure to check out their blogs from this last month, which are linked on the left side of my blog home page. also, checkout this video i made to officially introduce you all to team vessel.
