Hello everyone!
I cannot begin to describe what this trip has meant to me. Only 3 months in and God has already stretched me so much. He has placed me with a group a radically loving Christians that I am blessed to call not only my friends but my family. He has brought me to ministries that impacted me so much I left in tears. He has shown me what it really means to love.
I have learned so much during my time on this trip. Building a church in Costa Rica taught be about the joy that comes from hard work. Feeding kids in Nicaragua taught me about loving the unloved. Preaching my first month in Rwanda has taught me about placing my confidence and security in the Lord. God has done so much on this trip; The Kingdom has been growing tremendously, the Army is rising up. The Lord is blessing people in ways they and I never thought were possible. People are getting saved, being healed, converting religions. We are singing, we are dancing, we are praising.
I have until December 31st to be fully funded. I’m currently only $3,403 away from reaching that deadline. If I don’t raise the money I will not get on a plane to Asia but instead Philadelphia. I will be sent home if the money doesn’t come through.
Through it all I have had my eyes set on the Lord that He would provide my funds. I remember the week before I left, the time came where I had to buy my plane ticket for Georgia to go to Launch. I remember talking with my family unsure of what to do because I was so uneasy about whether I would actually be getting on the plane or not. My parents reassured me that if God brought me that far and I was truly meant to go on the Race then He would provide the whole way. I put my trust in Him then and bought my ticket. Look at where He brought me, all the way to Africa! I’m putting my trust in now that he will send me to Asia.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I cannot do this alone. I need your support. Prayerful, spiritual, financial, etc. the list goes on and on. You name, I need it. The month of December is here and Christmas is quickly approaching. Obviously I will not be having the “typical” Christmas celebration with my family and friends. There will no fancy church service with flashing lights and an amazing band. There will be no family dinner with aunts and uncles and cousins. There will be no presents under the tree. There will be my team, my Rwandans, and Jesus. Those three things are good for me. I can’t ask for much this Holiday season but I will ask for this.
All I want for Christmas is to be fully funded. All I want for Christmas is to go to Asia. All I want for Christmas is to stay on the World Race.
