We succeed, we fail, we fall.

We get up, of course,

but through it all again we fall.

We walk in sin, we fall in shame.

As we were down, he placed a crown

upon a Savior’s brow.

We fell, and still,

we’ll never feel

the fill of our bill

of sin and shame.

We fell, and yet, he never let

our debt upset the will of His justice.

Our fall is great.

But so is love,

above the abyss

a Creator said,

“You are good, STILL good

so good

you’re worthy of the mercy of my blood, my love.”

We succeed, we fail, we fall.

Through it all again we WILL fall.

But from below, I know the hope.

That God would stoop low

to sit with me and not provoke

the show that blows the fumes

of inauthenticity.

Thanks God.

I bruise my hand, I cut my cheek,

and in my tears my Father I choose to seek.

His name I’ll praise in days of highs and lows.

I know the hope of highs and lows,

I know the plea of “this I own”

And use the scars of near and far

To unveil the reality of emotion.

Between me and my Father

stand hands of pain and wells of hurt

but wells and hands have no way to stand

in the presence of the Son of Man.

Through it all again I fall,

and as I fall I know that this will not be the last.

The demons of my past,

the fear that Satan casts,

the pain that seems everlasting

will come.

But again I will stand,

for these cannot remain in the presence of the Son of Man.

The faithfulness of God, I will recall.

In tribulations that I trod,

In the wonder of planted pod,

In failures I have sought

and failures I have not,

In wells and sin,

hands and shame,

In cuts and pain

I will rejoice for I know that

My

God

Is

Still

Faithful.
