Dear Juanito & Annita,

Thank you. These two words hold so much gratitude that I don’t have the ability to express, except by saying thank you. Your hospitality & desire to grow God’s kingdom is unbelievable. You were exactly the family & hosts we didn’t know we needed to meet. Thank you for loving our team & grafting us into your family for these short three weeks.

Your kindness makes me want to be a kinder human being. Your hospitality inspires me to have a home that has an extra apartment just for hosting people – especially missionaries who are in need of rest. You’re extremely thoughtful, getting us exactly what we need, before we even realize we need it.

Annita, your homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookie bars, blueberry pancakes, & chocolate muffins were such a sweet treat.  Thank you for sharing your home & space with us – you are an incredible host & so sweetly love & care for people through your hospitality.

The way you have both chosen to serve – with your home, hands, & hearts has been such an encouragement to me. In all things you do, you have so much joy! I know you say you love your jobs & so that makes it easy, but I think it’s more than that. I think it’s because you love your God & your true passion is to draw people closer to him through the lives you live. Please know that you are doing just that, by opening your home, your lives, & your hearts.

So know that when I say “thank you” it means so much more. Thank you for the rest & adventure you’ve had with us this month, it has been so refreshing. You made our last month as a team so memorable. We are so thankful to have served in your churches & we’re grateful for your prayers & delicious Bolivian food.

I loved learning how to play Dominion & spending a few hours around the table telling riddle & playing games.  One of my favorite memories is Juanito asking us if we have had “tea time” {dinner} yet & we sort of laughed saying we just had popcorn & bon bons.

I already miss you taking your Juanito selfies & the adventures you take us on.  It is so obvious how much you adore life & you invite others to enjoy life too.

I am so thankful to call Bolivia home & can’t wait to come back.

Love,

Maddie
