WELCOME TO MONTH 9!

Georgia. We’re in the country, not the state ๐Ÿ™‚

At debrief last month, we went through our last round of team changes, I stepped out of team leading & into a new team of 5 incredible women.  I am STOKED to do life & the rest of the race with these ladies!

Instead of speaking words of truth or prophecy over ourselves & our new team, we wanted to speak joy & fun over ourselves for our last three months on the field.  So we came up with the acronym BAMMM ๐Ÿ™‚

Brook

Allie

Maggie

Megan

Allie. California.  She has led our squad, alongside two other chickens, on each travel day, planning our our transportation & lodging for us as we move from country to country & she also coordinated & set up places for debrief.  Allie is my new team leader!  She is kind, a woman of influence, she loves whatever you love {simply because you love it} & she narrates the lives of animals & other humans, just like I do.  I am so excited to walk alongside & learn from her.

Brook {Bok}. Colorado.  Bok & I go waaaayyy back to training camp, where we shared a tent together during a few “practice scenarios.”  She was also a team lead alongside me last round.  Brook has the incredible ability to treat each and every person she meets the exact same – which I think is a huge gift.  She is a joy to be around, generous, & loves hard.  If you don’t laugh when you’re around her, something must be wrong with you – she makes us smile until our cheeks cramp.

Maggie. Virginia.  Maggie!  She is the teammate I probably knew the least coming in, but I am excited to do life with her.  Mags lives on the east coast like me & she has such a big heart for worship.  She is beautiful, empathetic, & full of joy.  Maggie uses her hands & time to serve others in ways that might go unnoticed – like doing the dishes or hanging up your laundry; she constantly is thinking of others.  I am excited to learn from her & can’t wait to see how the Lord weaves our stories together these last three months.

Megan. Texas.  Megan is our new treasurer! Megan is like a fresh baked batch of chocolate chip cookies.  Sweet, warm-hearted, & hmm she probably smells good (haha!).  Meg uses her gift of service to love & care for her team & each person she encounters.  Her & I have walked through some similar things in our testimonies so it will be awesome to see what we get to learn from each other for the last leg of our race ๐Ÿ™‚

There ya have it, we are team BAMMM!

:: Just some other fun info ::

I asked a local Armenian last month how she would categorize Armenia & Georgia, like what part of the world, the 7 continents do they belong too?

Armenia & Georgia are sort of Asia, sort of Europe, right in the middle of the Middle East, but definitely not Middle Eastern.  Both countries were under Soviet rule until 1991, & so although there are traces of soviet influence in their architecture & culture, I wouldn’t really say Armenia or Georgia are Russian-ish either.  My friend shared with me that they refer to Georgia & Armenia as Caucasus, along with Azerbaijan.  This tiny collection of countries between the Black Sea & Caspian Sea are referred to as the Caucasus[es?].
