Today I sit in a coffee shop drinking a horchata after a day of devotionals, preschool lesson planning and lots of laughs. Yesterday I spent the day making tortillas, eating soup and listening to testimonies. Every day I’ve spent in Guatemala has been complete bliss and I am so overjoyed that this is the life I live for the next nine months.

I’ve really slacked on the whole blog culture of the world race so here I am and here are some fun life updates! I am currently living in Guatemala serving the Lord in every moment.  I left about a week ago and have been completely overwhelmed with this new season of life. I currently live with 45ish people and last week I started reading Genesis with hopes of finishing the whole bible while I’m traveling the world. I don’t have any service so if you have been trying to get a hold of me and I haven’t answered its because I moved to guate:)

God has taught me a lot in this week of firsts, first days of ministry, first travel day(ugh), first night sleeping with 6 other teamies and our first day exploring Antigua. Life has been crazy but a good kind of crazy.

I’m so glad I said yes to Gods promises for me, His plan for my life. Although sometimes its hard and overwhelming and full of changes He has prepared me for this and is still preparing me for my next steps.

Some of the more important firsts this past week have been learning how to continuously pray throughout the day, learning how to always speak in gratitude and recognizing Gods promises and successes in my day. I’ve also been focusing on spending more time alone with the Lord, its always easy for me to praise him in group settings but choosing to be intentional with my time in his presence has been a big priority for me in this season. I want to not just have a “friend crush” on Jesus but I want to be his full on bestie.

Last week I took my first steps on my nine month journey however, this nine months is just preparation for whats next to come and even though I don’t know whats promised yet I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me in this next year.

whooohoooo!! miss you mom and dad and all my people back home i promise I’ll post more blogs so you know I’m alive:)))
