Hello!  My name is Maddie Ferguson and I will be graduating from Hope College in May.

I was born in Washington DC and my family moved to Seattle WA when I was in high school.  After 4 years of living in Michigan, I don't know where to call "home".

I despise peanut butter – the smell, the texture, the taste, the color, literally everything about it. If you use the same knife in the peanut butter and then put it in the jelly jar and I get some lingering taste of PB in my plain J, I can't finish the sandwich.  It's that bad.

I love to wobble and its morphed into the "thing" I do everywhere I go.  Some people take a picture with a flag or some random object.  I wobble. In the past year, I have wobbled in 27 different states and in 12 cities in India and I am very excited to continue the count next year 🙂

More often than not, I can be found in a coffee shop and my coats and backpack will forever smell like the sweet aroma of ground goodness.

I have a crazy laugh.

I am a prankster to my core.  I have a scheming mind and always have some sort of idea up my sleeve.  I can't wait to see the new possibilities and means that I will have to work with over the race 🙂

I love climbing things – trees, rocks, stairs, mountains – in order to get up and away from my limited perspective.  Being able to look down at the world and see situations and reality from different viewpoints is such a beautiful gift and a continual lesson in humility because we are so small in the grand scheme of things.

More than anything, I love Jesus and am SO excited to take this next step in my walk with him. I am still marveling how how deeply and profoundly He changed my heart over the past 4 years and I am eager to continue to be transformed!
