Hello friends and followers, I have great news! My team and I made it to Thailand! After about 30 hours of traveling on planes and busses, we made it and it is amazing. Praise God for getting us here safely!

When I arrived here I was made aware of the horrible tragedy that happened at home while I was traveling. Henry was a great guy and was going to do great things for this world. I played lacrosse with Henry for a few years in high school and he never failed to make the team laugh and give it his all on the field. I found myself falling on my knees last night in prayer, asking God to send a sign of confidence to his friends and family that he is in a better place. Also that God would give me words of hope and peace to share with his family.

This morning, I was reading my Bible and I came across a set of verses in Acts 2. They read: “Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence”.

Wow. These verses are a direct answer to prayer. God will not abandon us. He is using this situation to grow His kingdom. In this tragedy, we can rejoice in hope and in peace because Jesus paid our debts, because the Father will not abandon his children in the realm of the dead.

Father, you are all we expect. Give rest and peace to the family and friends of Henry. Allow them to feel your presence and rejoice in the truth that you gave us.   You are so gracious and so good.

Henry, I’ll see you soon friend.
