Dear Family, Friends, Lovers, Ex-Lovers, Supporters, or Whatever,
Wow. Just like that, month two is in the rear-view mirror. I can hardly believe it, can you? It’s been a wild month. For these weeks we’ve been in Romania, my team has been tasked with evangelizing in the area. Street evangelism, along with so many other things on the race, is something completely new to me. It’s definitely something that’s taken some getting used to.
But God didn’t call me here to be comfortable! He’s called me to trust and to learn, so that’s what I’ve been trying to do. This month He’s taught me, through my team and my leaders, several things. I’ve learned that I’m the type of person who is going to make sure everyone else is taken care of first, so this month has taught me that often I need to make sure my needs are met so that I’m in the best possible shape to help others. I’ve also learned a good bit from evangelizing with one of our squad leaders, Julie. She simply asks whoever she meets how she can pray for them and encourage them. I really like that she’s able to share the Word with people without coming across as confrontational. Through watching how my team and how our leaders evangelize, and just from experiencing it myself, I’ve been able to become more intentional and more personable with those I’ve met. It’s so cool that my job this month has just been to spread Jesus’ name by showing His love!
We’ve seen God do some awesome work over this past month in Romania. Through our daily evangelism we’ve been able to see several come to know the Lord. Over futbol games and spicy shawarma we’ve been able to pour into the kids of Alba Iulia and it’s been crazy to see the growth. While I am so pumped to see what He has in store for us next in Greece, I won’t be able to get there without your help! As of today, I still have just $1,800 to raise in order to reach my next fundraising goal by September 30. But there’s good news! After that I’ll be only $4,000 away from being fully funded!! And there’s more! An anonymous donor has agreed to match all donations made this week! So if there was a time to donate, it’s today!
It’s been incredible getting to see the work He’s doing throughout Europe, and even more incredible getting to take part in it! If there’s any one thing that I’ve taken away from my time serving these past two months, it’s that this is exactly where I’m meant to be. God has brought me over 5,000 miles from home and I know He has farther to take me yet. I humbly ask that you prayerfully consider joining me on this journey, either in prayer or through a financial gift. Thank you so so much for your time! I’m so excited to share what else He still has in store.
Love,
Mac
