Putting my trust in God.
Recently I’ve come to the realization that if I truly believe he will do something, he will do it. I can’t halfway hope he will make it happen, I have to believe he will.
After all it shouldn’t be that hard to believe in all he can do when he can move mountains, split seas, cure the incurable, and give sight to the blind. But for some reason it is. Its easy to let doubt creep in. Its easy for me to say he’s not there when he doesn’t answer my prayers immediately.
But God knows me. He knows that I constantly need reassurance, and luckily for me he gives it to me. He’s never far. God communicates with me through numbers in the multiples of 3. ex. 444, 555, 111, 222. Each has a different meaning. Throughout time God has showed me those meanings, and I am still learning. Ever since I started to see these numbers, there hasn’t been a day where I don’t see them.
Something really really really awesome that happened: ( a little back story first ) 222 means that I am exactly where I need to be, Gods about to use me, keep my eyes opened. The area code where we are in Costa Rica is 222. Everyday I am reminded I am exactly where I need to be, because on every store, every bakery, every daycare, has the telephone number with the area code 222. I am reminded that the squad and I are being used for his work, we are not here meaninglessly, we have a purpose.
Another cool God moment: A couple days ago I got a monarch butterfly tattoo. Ever since I got the tattoo, Ive seen butterflies everywhere. Ive seen them on buildings, on peoples shirts, and designs in gates. Every time I would see a butterfly I would immediately get the pull to pray. After three days of seeing butterflies non stop, I was sitting on the bus coming home from ministry and I asked.. “God is that you ? are you telling me to pray over these places, and these people? If you are asking me to pray show me 1 butterfly on the way home, if thats not what you are asking me show me 4.”
As soon as I said that prayer a motorcycle flew by the bus, and on the back of the riders helmet was a huge monarch butterfly. GOD!! He was so clear in his response. I didn’t see another butterfly on the way home, and after seeing the first, I knew I wasn’t going to see the other 3. The whole way home that night I saw more 2’s than I ever had before.
