I’ll be quite honest. The World Race was never in my plans. I didn’t know anything about it until just over a year ago when I saw something on my Facebook feed about it. At this time I was about to start my junior year at Davenport University and saw that it was an 11 month journey, and that was something that immediately scared me. School is not my thing and if I left, the odds of me returning to finish my degree would be very slim. This is why I put the World Race off of my radar. That is until it came up on my Facebook feed AGAIN.

This time I dug a little deeper. I visited the World Race website and read more blog posts than you could even imagine. I stayed up late into the night looking at different routes and watching videos of previous racers. The fear I had before, thinking about leaving for 11 months, was gone and I was so stoked picturing myself as a racer.

I finally made the jump and applied, and I am SO glad I did. Had I let the initial fear of this keep me from clicking the new FB post, I would not be in the position I am now…preparing to launch in August 2019.

The World Race was not in my plans, but it was in His.

Here’s to trusting His plan for me!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
