In all my preparation for ending the Race and transitioning, I never thought about how the Lord would want to celebrate my return. I put a lot of effort in telling my family and community, but I put no effort in asking what He wanted to do for me.

I wasn’t coming to Project Search Light because home has been hard and I needed a break. I have lots of peace and excitement for the season I’m living in, but what I didn’t see I needed and craved was the Father’s celebration of my return.

Every worship set this week, God has just embraced me, hugging me close, until He burst into joy and celebration over my return. He kept drawing me back to the amazing growth and transformation He has worked in my life. He kept telling me His gratitude for my obedience. And, He kept confessing how much He loves me!

I didn’t know I needed this, but I came to Project Search Light because God has goodness everywhere we go.

God always prepares a feast for His kids and I didn’t want that food to go bad. Plus, that feast was meant to be shared and I got to share many meals with teammates, Adventures staff, and other squads that launched when I did. Each meal blessed me.

Why spoil or forfeit the gifts the Lord gives you?

Project Search Light is a free gift to get more and we always need more!

This week the Lord showed me that His goodness, kindness, self control, peace, love, faithfulness, gentleness, and joy is like a flash light and a spotlight we all have received through the Holy Spirit. The flashlight serves as the tool to for us to see God’s character and follow it, while the spotlight illuminates us for others to see Him in us. The Holy Spirit does both jobs.

Ya’ll, Project Search Light surrounded me by a lot of light this week. My flashlight and my spotlight got tuned up because other peoples’ spotlights and flashlights bleed into my path, helping me see the places I could fix. We need community, and we need the Holy Spirit in others to help illuminate how we use our flashlight to see the Father and how our spotlight reveals Him in us.

We need to see and be seen!

Come to Project Search Light! He will always remain good and faithful, so show up no matter your circumstances. He will work boldly because of the Holy Spirit in all of us and He may even have a few surprises for us!
