Well I’d like to start off by saying that I’m sorry for not updating y’all about what’s has been happening. My wifi has been very limited since arriving in Botswana. But here’s an update about what’s going on.
My team and I are currently living in Bokspits, Botswana. Bokspits is located in the southern tip of Botswana in the Kalahari desert which is located on the border of South Africa. Boskpits looks very similar to the Texas Panhandle except for a lot more sand. So in a way I kind of feel at home.
My team and I work with and live in a local church called the Dutch Reform Church. We also do various things around the village. Whether its working with the local playgroup/daycare a couple of times a weeks or simply building relationships with the locals. Life in Bokspits has been really simple but fun.
I don’t have much longer before I leave which is pretty crazy to think. If you don’t already know, I’ll be back in the states on the 29th. I can’t believe that’s its already time for me to back home.
