“Unexpected Storms”
Hello Everyone!
Me and my the whole squad have made it to Romania and are now safe and sound. For people who don’t know it is all squad month and that means all of the teams come together as one and do ministry in Romania. It’s really exciting and one if the other cool things is we get to have both squad leaders and one of our squad mentors (Amy) be apart of this month. So a lot of exciting moments and things to happen this month!
But before all this can happen I had to have a test from God and then a word from God so that this month could move me in the direction He wants me to move in.
On the second full day of debrief I had come down with a sickness that included all the lovely things that come with the flu and to make it worse it lasted throughout all of debrief and all of the travel days. I was in bed, sleeping on the bus or in the bathroom the whole time. I didn’t eat for 5 days and lost a considerable amount of weight. During this whole sickness I wondered
“Why? God why now? Seriously?”
But God had a plan. Finally on the day we arrived here in Draganesti. I finally was starting to be able to get liquids in my body and some fruits. As we got to the hostile some people from the last World Race team had left notes for us. Mine was from Maddie and she wrote something that I knew that I was from the Lord. She wrote:
“The Lord wanted me to tell you that this month you will be the encourager for your team; He said that even if you are feeling doubtful to hold fast to what He says about you.”
So with that I will take this task with a humble heart and an eager spirit. Look to God in the hard times. There is a reason for all of it.
