Hello and Welcome!
My name is Mackenzie (Mack) Brunney and you might be on my blog as someone who knows me and is generously donating, one of my fellow racers or as someone deciding possibly wanting to sponsor me.This is my decision to follow Jesus and His calling on my life to go out and be a light to the world where at this time in history seem’s to be very dark and sad. Before you donate, if you’re one of my fellow racers or if you’re someone who already may know of me i would like to first tell you about how I have gotten to this point of my life.
My story starts out in Columbus Ohio where I was born and raised. My parents raised me in a christian household and sent me to a private christian school. My childhood consisted of playing outside or doing some sports activity. My parents have always made sure our family including my other siblings that we always took the best vacations and got to experience other cultures. Growing up in the church I got saved when I was in third grade and got baptized the summer before my senior year of high school. I had all the right pieces in place for me to succeed and to grow spiritually but right out of high school I started to fade from what was important and started falling to the things of this world.
January 29th 2016 I got arrested for OMVI and also had a kid who was underage in my car while driving intoxicated. This was a huge event that woke me up and i knew something needed to change. I also had problems with stealing from my parents and lying to them about what I was doing with my money. I never truly admitted to God or anyone that I had trouble with alcohol until this past August. So this past December this popped up on my computer and God seemed to be telling me that I need to do this. My life and trust needs to exceed the boundaries of Columbus Ohio.
I’m very excited to be going on this trip and to see what God has in store for me.
