I heard a story from Awakening this weekend and it really hit home.
It went something like this
Andrew a evangelical pastor from England was talking to one of his mentors when he was younger. As they were conversing Andrew looked to his mentor, I don’t remember the man’s name but lets call him Sam for the sake of the story. Andrew asked Sam:
“Sam what is your ambition?”
Sam looked at Andrew, stroked his long beard and said to him:
“Andrew, my ambition is to be a millionaire.”
Puzzled, Andrew looked at Sam and said:
“I’m not sure if I understand but can you connect the dots for me so that I can understand.”
Sam again strokes his beard and after a dramatic pause looks at Andre and says:
“My boy, when I die and meet the heavenly Father I want to bring Him a million of His children back home. I want to save a million souls to the Kingdom of God.”
Yes after I heard this story I immediately wanted to go around Chiang Mai and evangelize “the hell” out of people. As believers this our duty. It’s an embarrassing statistic but to hear less than 5% of Christians will speak outwardly about their faith.
WE HAVE THE GOOD NEWS, WHY AREN’T WE SPEAKING ABOUT IT?!?! WE NEED TO TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN FORGIVEN AND THAT GOD LOVES THEM SOOO MUCH!
I want my full inheritance. I want to bring all the lost souls to the gates of heaven and say “Here you go God, here’s your kids back.”
As tears of joy run down my face watching every person that I got to minister to, walk into the gates of heaven. I don’t want to get to heaven with the bare minimum. I want to be a fisher of men. I want to be a millionaire for God. He loves His kids and He wants them back. So don’t hold back, tell someone about Jesus and His great free gift He provided for all of us.
I dare you to speak truth into someone’s life this week.
