Face it. In your day to day life you stick to what you know, your comfort zones. When you go to Starbucks you order the basic white chocolate or mocha coffee option, because trying to pronounce the word “macchiato” in front of the barista will give you panic sweats before it’s even your turn at the counter. You hang out with your “comfort” friends. You eat your “comfort” foods. You want “comfort” from God, but God never works in your comfort.

I’m sure Daniels palms were a little sweaty as he stepped onto the battlefield to defeat Goliath; and I bet the lions den wasn’t his idea of a five- star resort. However, when Daniel was “uncomfortable” he never turned away from God. In those moments of dysfunction God always provided and blessed Daniel for his faith in Him.

God will never show you, your calling in your comfort zone. He tests your faith in those unfamiliar moments. Don’t look at what you’re going through as something God put in your life to “destroy” you , He did it to “develop” you.

Preparing for the World Race, has gradually peeled away each of my comfort zones. I have never felt this exposed in my life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have had to completely depend, and trust in God.

I am not only “stepping” out of my comfort zone, I am “leaping.” It has just begun to sink in that I have roughly five months to get the remaining twelve- thousand dollars needed to pay for my trips expenses, receive my vaccines, and get the necessary gear together. However, I would much rather be out of my comfort zone and in Gods will, than in my comfort zone and out of Gods will.

So, “let’s get uncomfortable.”
