Twice a day, six days a week, the ministry we're serving with takes hot food to a number of different places.  One of those places is in an area known as Antipolo.  However, people here call it Tent City.  They call it that because last year, two typhoons came through the Philippines, destroying the homes of many residents.  (One girl we've met told some of us about how she would have drowned in her home had she not been rescued by a neighbor.)  The government has since tried to provide relief for these people who were now completely homeless.  That relief effort consisted of eventually moving large numbers of people by dump truck to an are on the extreme outskirts of Manila.  Then they setup large tents for everyone to stay in until they could provide homes.

A year later the government is now building small, box homes made of wood and tin.  We've been told there's an estimated 1500 families currently living in Tent City.  The following is a quick glimpse into what it looks like for the people who are now trying to make a new life for themselves, without having enough food, water or job opportunities.
