KIM Ministries is passionate about bringing hot food to kids who battle poverty, and and hunger, every day.  They serve a number of neighborhoods, and go on 2 feeding runs daily, 6 days a week.  They prepare the food here at the ministries main office/house, and drive to neighborhoods near and far to help where they are able.  They take the call to serve others seriously…but the best part is they do it with joy, always, with smiles and with hearts just as warm as the food itself!  It truly is a blessing to get to join in their efforts, even for a month.

I've shared some photos from a past feeding.  But here are some more.  My hope is that as you see them, you will think about how this may apply to you.  (As I blog this year, writing sentences like that last one, please know I am not trying to guilt anyone into anything.  I'm not saying I'm doing it well and you should be too.  God is calling all of us to ministry in one form or another.  My hope is that maybe these photos and stories will help encourage you to seek wherever He is leading you with more energy, hope, joy, wonder and purpose.  And to embrace the work He may have for you right outside your doorstep.  And I know a lot of you already are!  Woo Hoo!)

For anyone thinking about going on The World Race…THIS COULD BE YOU! handing out homecooked food to hungry children.  YOU COULD BE the one to see them come running down the street with an empty bowl and a look of hope on their face!  For anyone at home wondering if there are opportunities God has for you to help those in need in your own city, THIS COULD BE YOU! handing out a nourishing meal to anyone in need!  YOU COULD BE the one to see the relief on their face knowing that at least this meal, this day is taken care of.

And here's a quick glimpse to show you the state of the neighborhood they live in.  In a word, dirty.  In two words, really dirty…
