Alright alright! Thank you to everyone reading this for your support and for staying tuned-in to this crazy journey! Here’s the latest update:
1. Got a haircut today and now find myself repeatedly thinking, “Aw man, why do I continually think a random SuperCuts encounter will ever be a good idea?”
2. Been brainstorming some solid fund raising ideas with Mom and Sam and some folks from church.
3. Feel completely overwhlemed by the amount of planning and organization that is required of said fund raising. (My first comment on the feedback section of the World Race exit interview? All racers should be assigned a live-in personal assistant, who is awesome at organizing stuff…and who makes excellent pancakes.) Mmmmmm…..pancakes.
4. I’ve been praying for the upcoming year a lot recently, and wanted to share what’s been on my heart with you guys:
- I’m praying that God will form each team of world racers exactly as He wants them.
- I’m praying that He is already lining up who He has for us to encouter during our year, and that He’d place them in our path exactly when He wants them there.
- I’m praying that He would lead all of us in the work that He has for us, and that the Spirit would move through us, and reach the hearts of everyone we encouter in powerful ways that are beyond our own capabilities.
- I’m praying that He would teach me to love as Christ loves. That I would see his children as He sees them, and that I would have compassion as He does, and patience as He does and forgiveness as He does.
- I’m praying that lives are radically transformed during our year. That the kingdom of heaven invades and that people have incredible encounters with their loving Father. I’m praying that God does the impossible and the unthinkable!
Woo Hoo…the more I think about what’s to come, the more pumped I get!!!
