I’m amazed at how wonderful our God is. He is doing such big and fun things in me and here at Adventures!!
I’m so excited to announce that, as part of the new thing He is doing, I get to go back to Guatemala (my first time being month 1 of my Race, September 2012!) in a few short weeks!
All of the Worship Track family has been invited to make a Levitical journey to the new branch of Adventures’ Guatemala long-term base. They’ve expanded from Antigua to Lake Atitlan, where there is currently a lot of darkness and idolatry through animal sacrifice and rituals, among other things. About 20 of us will be going up, carrying the Lord’s presence to the high places (literal and spiritual) in/near Lake Atitlan.
Basically, just as the Levitical musicians in the Old Testament called down the presence of the Lord, we are going forth to cover this base in worship and prayer. The Levites were in the tabernacle and temple, asking God to inhabit their praises, and they were in battle, marching forth on the front lines with their instruments and prophetic songs. Crazy stuff happens in God’s presence because the glory of His presence is what makes the ordinary extraordinary!
As we bring the light of Jesus as expressed uniquely through each of us, darkness will have to flee! I love that all we have to do is lift up Jesus, be who we truly are, do what we love to do (worship!), and the spiritual atmosphere will inevitably be changed forever. I’m constantly amazed by the privilege I have to be a part of something so integral to the movement of His Kingdom and catalysis of intimacy in the nations by simply singing to God how awesome He is! It grows in me an increasing desperation because I don’t ever want to go anywhere or do anything without His presence.
But in order to go, I do need some financial support! I will need about $700 ASAP (within this next week or so) to cover airfare, ground transportation, food and lodging for the week of March 21-28.
