Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:3-5

When you are out of options and all you can do is lean on God, you are blessed. Only when you realize your need for the Lord is when you tap into His immeasurable greatness. This commit to the world race, I’ve given up a good bit of comfort. I have been stripped of a lot that is most precious to me and because of that, I am blessed. Laying those things down, I now can be fully embraced by the One most precious to me. As i am stripped of comfort, I find something better- satisfaction and security in God himself. I am finding this as I empty myself and let go of my traditional lifestyle and comfort of what I’m used to and entrust every piece of it to my Father. This journey definitely isn’t going to be easy and letting go is hard, but I find so much peace and joy in the Lord. Jesus said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23). So i choose to die to my way of doing things daily, trust my Jesus and allow Him to be the leader of my life because He has the very best in mind for me. To discover life, I believe you must first give it up to the Father. Completely let go of all pride and selfish agendas, giving God access to every part of our being. Allow God to search every single corner of your life and reveal anything that stands in the way of His plans and purpose for you. It may be extremely hard to surrender every area of your life to His control, but by far, it’s the best decision you could ever possibly make.
