Peace, Amazing, and Thanks are the three most common words in all my journal entries from my time in Honduras.  Month one in Honduras was an amazing month!  It’s a wonderful country.  We worked with a wonderful ministry, Puerta de Zion (Zion’s Gate).  For more info on this ministry, I encourage you to check out their facebook page or website: http://www.zionsgate.org.  It’s a pretty legit ministry and they are doing BIG things with street boys and girls.  We developed lasting friendships; even if most of them will continue through facebook.  So many names and faces were met that will be impossible to forget.

The sense of peace I feel when I’m on the mission field is amazing, almost indescribable.  I just rejoice in it!  Simply amazing:  our ministry, our work, the people and the work that was done through us in one month and the work being done through Puerta de Zion, INHFA, street ministry, school, colony ministry, Los Pinos, and the dump ministry.  Lots of ministries my group and I were a part of.  Each affected and left a lasting impression on me.

Thanks be to my Savior! Jesus, for You, because without You, I would not be here and this would not be possible.  Thanks for the freedom I have in You, in Your love.

I thank You for: my squad, my team, Puerta de Zion, Tony, Nidia, Cassie, Molly, Ariel, Herman, Christopher, Luis, Fernando, Carlos, Jesus, Ana, Jennifer, Dania, Fannie and Walter. And especially for my new sister, Carla.  She’s a 17 year old girl who lives at INHFA who is need of love.  Who needs a sister.  Who needs a Father.   Please continue to pray for my sister Carla that she may always feel her Father’s love.  Thank You for the rest of the broken hearted girls at INHFA.

Thank You for the Christians in Honduras.  To be the light in a dark country.  To be Your light.  So, thank you Jesus for this month: July 2012.

My world race started out on a good foot and Honduras set the bar high for my race.

Peace, Amazing, and Thanks.  All for the glory of God!
