1 Thess. 5:24

“The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it”

I tend to forget this verse a lot.  Because of our human nature we question God when things do not seem to go the way we think they should.  Well, I no longer am going to live like this.  I am going to fully put my trust in the Almighty God.  I know He is faithful.  He has never done anything to show otherwise.

God called me to the World Race in which I was super excited about until I saw how much money was needed to be raised in order for this to happen, and then the panic began to settle in.  Although fundraising has always been somewhat of a passion of mine when it comes to missions, it also seems impossible to raise $15,500 in less than a year.  But things that are impossible to men are possible with God.  And now here I am already passing the first three deadlines with only one more to go.  And can you believe that I only need $700 more to go?!  This consist of $300 going towards my World Race account to make me fully funded and the other $400 paying for my plane ticket home at the end of the Race.  I have no doubt at all that God (the one who has called me and is faithful) will do it!

In response to His outstanding love and faithfulness, I too will show faithfulness.  I promise to be faithful in the things that He calls me too, which for now is serving the nations.  I also am going to keep my ears and heart open so that when He speaks I will not hesitate to be obedient.  I am no longer going to close my ears or ignore his calling.  I will not question the things He calls me too even if I do not fully understand them.  I will be faithful to His calling because I know that He is always faithful to me.

God always has my best interest in heart and only a crazy person would be willing to question this.

I will not question the things that He calls me too. Yes, I will admit that sometimes I think He plans are silly or do not make sense, but I know that He will never call me to something that He will not help happen.  Therefore, if He calls me to start funding a missionary or organization while on the Race, I will.  Even though I have no idea how I will get the money considering that I am raising money to support myself, I know that God will provide exactly what I need.  If God calls me to move to Spain after the raise to continue my studies in the Spanish language, I will.  If God calls me stay and settle in Springfield, Missouri so that I can fully work on the relationship that He has called me to, I will.  Yes, at this moment I future is undecided, but I have no fear because I know:  That the one who calls me is faithful and He will do it!
