Welcome to my World Race blog!
A little about me….
I graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA with an Exercise Science degree-by the way, it’s almost impossible to get a good job in this field without going to graduate school. Bummer.
I’ve had a good number of jobs and other odd tasks to pay my bills and otherwise entertain myself since graduating…I’ve been: a camp counselor, cashier, barista, adventure guide, house parent to troubled teenagers (and I didn’t even get stabbed), assistant photographer, office assistant, camping associate, house cleaner, caretaker, and lumberjack- all in less than 3 years; that’s right, I’m the busiest, non-busy person you will ever meet.
However, my real passions are traveling, experiencing other cultures, and following Jesus; which is why this September I am answering the call and heading out on a journey of abandonment to be uncomfortable, serve the “least of these”, live in community, be a light, bring hope, love, give of myself, live by faith, spread the love of Jesus, and joyfully experiencing anything else God has up His sleeve.
A few things I LOVE:
Jesus, traveling, fall, wearing shorts with long sleeves, the smell of rain hitting hot pavement in the summer, hanging out with my amazing friends, family, backpacking, outdoorsy things, adventure, fires, eno hammocks, sleep, dreaming, coffee, Passion City Church, VW camper vans, getting lost and finding yourself again, otters, road trips with friends, revelation, joy, understanding, reading, writing, learning, mischief, scaring people, laughing, football, Tim Tebow, flip flops, chacos, Kenya, mangoes, greek yogurt, rock climbing, the faithfulness of God, slap bracelets, 90s music, being free, experiencing the beauty of God, and about a million other really dorky things such as shark week, and this really, really cool cape I got in Italy.
