I’ve only been away from home for 9 days and I already have experienced so much, have seen so much, endured sleepless nights, fevers while sleeping on airport floors, crazy African customs & border control.  My travelling in the past 9 days has consisted of the following: Flight from Los Angeles to Chicago, flight from Chicago to New York City, flight from New York City to Atlanta, flight from Atlanta to Jo-Burg, South Africa, and then a 23 hours bus ride to Mutare, Zimbabwe.
If I could shortly recall my Bus travel days to you it would go something like this:
·      6:45am: Wake up & be ready at 10:30am to leave for taxi to bus station.
·      8:00 am: Learn to be flexible, leave for Zimbabwe by bus at 9:30am instead.
·      9:30am leave for bus station by taxi
·      10am: Arrive at bus station wait until bus ride at 1pm.
·      1 pm: Bus ride to Zimbabwe commences, stopped by police officers easily 10 times for speeding or other things.
·      9pm: Arrive at South Africa/Zimbabwe border go through customs (5 hours of mind blowing craziness)
·      3am: Leave from border, continue to Mutare, Zimbabwe.
·      4am, about 15 hours into our bus ride, I started giggling fits caused by 2 things: the joy of the Lord and sleep deprivation. As a result of my boredom & pure hysteria, I started taking pictures of my fellow team and squad mates sleeping and almost died laughing because it was SO funny.
·      12pm: arrive at Mutare, Zimbabwe.
This is our destination for approx the next 2 weeks. I believe we will be working with local churches and possibly do prison ministry.

It’s going to be AMAZING.

Please keep us in your prayers as we venture out into the unknowns of what God has in mind for us—to say the least, I am SO excited.
