Well we made it to Manila, Philippines. All I can say is WOW. This month my team and I are partaking in some amazing work of KIM (Kids International Ministries.) There are literally a TON of ministry opportunities available through KIM from construction work, tutoring, birthing clinics, and human trafficking. It has been a tad overwhelming, but still so wonderful to have so many avenues to spread the love of Christ.
Here’s a link to their blog: http://kidsim.blogspot.com/
(The large white house in the middle is where my team and I are living for the month.)
And a YouTube video about their mission:

Unlike China, the weather is here is far from being anything below zero degrees. I am in a perpetual state of sweat as the island weather is humid and warm; honestly, I’m not complaining because so far, I really love it here.
This month my team and I are living at an orphanage; we refer to it as The Children’s home. There are 35 children- 12 older girls, 11 older boys and 13 little ones- in need of loving parents. (Yes, adoption has crossed my mind.) Their ages range from 3 months to 16 years old.

Our team, Hidden Refuge's main ministry this month will be investing in the lives of these youngsters, including night shifts in the nursery, 8pm to 6am. Here’s to the bottle-feeding, spit up, wet beds and diaper changes! We will also be spending time with the older ones which looks like doing devotions, taking them to school, singing songs, sitting and being with them and letting them just be kids.
Aside from that we will be also participating in a variety of other ministries like feedings, birthing clinics, anti-prostitution and so much more. Your prayers are so very appreciated.
I know this month will be exhausting but it is going to be worth it. 🙂
Welcome to Mommyhood- and a many other things.

(For the life of me I cannot figure out how to rotate this…O well..)
